The Dam Removal Movement

Defunct dams across the country are being removed, thanks to the collaborative efforts of nonprofit organizations, Tribes, farmers, ranchers, communities, and government agencies. Funds from new federal initiatives have been essential to completing many of these projects, which are restoring river function in transformational ways that benefit people, fish, and wildlife.
